Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of Courtroom Coach, an AI oral-argument rehearsal service operated by Courtroom Coach Inc. ("we", "us"), a New York corporation with its registered address at 19 Calumet Drive, Dix Hills, NY 11746, United States. By requesting access to, activating a seat on, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who you are contracting with
Your contract is with Courtroom Coach Inc., trading as Courtroom Coach. You confirm that you are of legal age and, if you are accepting on behalf of a firm, agency, or company, that you have authority to bind it.
2. The service
Courtroom Coach lets licensed attorneys and supervised legal professionals rehearse oral argument against a simulated judge. You supply case context, argue out loud, and receive coaching output including a scored bench memo. Access is granted as personal, named seats following manual review of a request submitted from a verified firm, agency, or in-house email domain. Seats may not be shared and credentials must be kept confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your details accurate.
3. Not legal advice
The service is a rehearsal and coaching tool. It does not provide legal advice or legal opinions, it creates no attorney-client relationship, and it does not predict any ruling. Output is generated by language models and can misstate law and invent citations. You must independently verify every authority against the primary source, and you remain bound by your own duties of competence, confidentiality, candor to the tribunal, and supervision of the tools you use.
4. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan and credit balance. You may not reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits of the service.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
- use it for any unlawful purpose or in breach of a court order or protective order;
- use it for fraud, spam, harassment, or impersonation;
- upload content you have no right to use, or infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including malware, probing, penetration testing without permission, scraping, or automated bulk access;
- attempt to jailbreak the model or generate illegal or abusive content.
6. AI inputs and outputs
You are responsible for the material you submit, for how you use anything the service generates, and for verifying its accuracy. You confirm you hold the necessary rights to any brief, motion, exhibit, or recording you submit. As between you and us, you keep your inputs and the outputs generated for you; you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to operate the service. Case material is held in your browser for the length of a session and is not stored on our servers, but model calls are processed by third-party AI subprocessors. We may remove content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts to enforce these terms. Rights-holders may contact us at support@courtroomcoach.ai to report infringing content; repeat infringers lose access.
7. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the service and everything underlying it, including software, prompts, models we build, documentation, and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.
8. Credits, payment and billing
Access is purchased as credits, where one credit equals one minute of live argument. Credits are a prepaid usage balance and not a retainer. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund commitment is set out in our Refund Policy.
9. Service level and warranties
The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, or for any procedural, strategic, or professional consequence in a real proceeding. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not permit it.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from the content you submit, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination your seat is deactivated and unused credits are handled under our Refund Policy; because case material is not stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to export.
13. General
You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the state and federal courts sitting in New York have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms and will post the revised version here with a new date.
